January 10th: If You Build It
https://artspacema.org/events/#!event/2026/1/10/solstice-lanterns-creative-connections-at-sanctuary
How high can you build? How far can you build? What patterns can you make? How can you use different materials? This month, children will try out a variety of different building materials and projects. This is a sculpture building opportunity for sensory learning and budding architects alike.
February 14: Clay and Flowers
https://artspacema.org/events/#!event/2026/2/14/clay-flowers-creative-connections-at-sanctuary
This weekend, we’ll take inspiration from natural materials and work in 3D. Children will have the opportunity to make shapes with air dry clay, before stamping them to capture the textures and patterns of natural materials like flowers, leaves and pine cones. Added embellishments will allow for more creativity and personalization. Those who finish quickly can make colorful leaf rubbings.
March 14: Community Weaving
https://artspacema.org/events/#!event/2026/3/14/community-weaving-creative-connections-at-sanctuary
Children will have the opportunity to learn to weave on cardboard looms, or to contribute to a large-scale community weaving project. We’ll use unexpected materials to create amazing colorful fiber art! A great opportunity to make art with your children, for fine motor skills, and for wild and wacky creations.
