Dan Blakeslee: Barside

Dan Blakeslee, a Maine native, discovered his passion for music while attending art school in Baltimore in the early ’90s. Since then, he has built a career blending folk and Americana, performing over 160 shows a year and sharing stages with artists like The Lumineers, Josh Ritter, and Deer Tick. His music has earned him accolades such as “Folk Artist of the Year” (Boston Music Awards, 2014) and a coveted performance at the Newport Folk Festival in 2015. With ten full-length albums to his name, including Tatnic Tales and Owed to the Tanglin’ Wind, Blakeslee continues to captivate audiences with his heartfelt storytelling.
Beyond music, Blakeslee is a prolific visual artist, having created over 600 rock posters and album covers, as well as the nationally recognized beer label designs for Heady Topper and Focal Banger. His artwork has been featured in Art of Modern Rock and exhibited across the U.S., further cementing his place in the creative world.
