Juergen & PJ

PJ and Jurg are a recently formed duo that combine the talents of veteran singer-songwrite Paul Rogoshewski (PJ Rogue) and improvisational jazz pianist Jürgen Kern into a blended ensemble.
PJ Rogue has delighted audiences for over thirty years with his unique combination of eclectic originals and jazz, folk, and rock covers. Over the years, he has shared the stage with such folk notables as Cheryl Wheeler, John Gorka, Vance Gilbert, Lui Collins, Cozy Sheridan, and James Kellahan, among others. A well respected songwriter who draws from everyday life, PJs songs have been well tested within the local music community and a few of his works have been covered by artists beyond the confines of the Commonwealth. He has two albums to his credits and admits some past flirtations with some major publishers. He is most recently enjoying making music with core member and keyboardist Jürgen Kern, et. al. in the nascent grouping known as “Rogue’s Gallery”.
Versatile jazz pianist Jürgen Kern has been playing music for almost 50 years. In that time he has co-lead a jazz funk group, played in jazz duos, trios, quartets, quintets, sextets and septets, played in an all improvisational ensemble, for a dance company that toured India and Mexico, and for an award-winning group at playback theater festivals. In addition, he has played in a three horn funk band, in a southern rock legacy band, behind an American singer-songwriter that toured extensively in Germany, and with a Russian singer-songwriter who regularly opened for touring national Russian acts, including downstairs at the Middle East and at CBGBs. With his own CD under his belt and two more virtual CDs online, he has now combined his talents with singer-songwriter PJ Rogue.
