The Joy Reo Trio offers a playful and soulful repertoire that spans classic jazz, pop, and Broadway genres. Vocalist Joy Reo is accompanied by Molly Flannery on piano, with Diane Heffner on tenor sax, clarinet, and bass clarinet.

Flannery is a prominent pianist on the New England jazz scene, with distinctive fluidity, melodic improvisations, and the ability to groove in jazz, Latin, and Brazilian idioms. Heffner’s versatile and sensitive touch is founded on a lifelong career of classical and jazz performance; when she’s not grooving with the Joy Reo Trio or other ensembles, she’s playing with acclaimed orchestras such as Boston Baroque and the Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra. Reo has been entertaining Boston-area audiences since her debut at the Acton Jazz Café in 2014.
